Dr. Kimberly Paster has proudly served as a Licensed Master Cosmetologist for over 26 years. She is the owner of Transitions Hair Therapy, A Salon concept created by her to serve women who suffer from hair loss. Kimberly not only focuses on hair loss, but she also focuses on the importance of educating clients about their hair, product knowledge, and whole health. She is passionate about helping women gain confidence on their hair loss journey. She creates specialized systems tailored to fit each individual’s specific and unique hair care needs. After obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology for Fort Valley State University and serving in the mental health field, she decided to marry her degree with her business and created a new and innovative way to serve as a Licensed Master Cosmetologist and Certified Hair Loss Practitioner.
Kimberly proudly serves as a member of the National Beauty Culturists League, where she obtained her Doctorate in Professional Cosmetology. Her education includes a Master’s in Professional Cosmetology, Associate in Liberal Arts, and a diploma from Pat Goins Shreveport Beauty School. She has earned many certifications and awards over the years, serving the beauty industry and as an entrepreneur. She began working as a student teacher after finishing Cosmetology School. She has worked for Fantastic Sams and served as a District Manager overseeing 14 salons and over 100 employees with SmartStyle, a subsidiary of Regis Corporation, for 5 years. She partnered with Barbara Ann Miller of B & T’s Beauty Salon. It was renamed New To You Multicultural Beauty Salon. After 4 years, she moved to Misawa, Japan, and operated as New To You Beauty Salon for 3 years.
Returning to the states to reside in Brandon and Riverview Florida, she worked at Ethnic Hair Care Salon. She opened and begin business at Kim’s Unique Touch Salon in Millbrook, Alabama, within 30 days of residing there. After many years of travel, in 2014, she moved back to Georgia and opened Red Door Salon, which has been rebranded and is now Transitions Hair Therapy, LLC. Transitions Hair Therapy is located just south of Macon, Georgia in a city named Byron. Kimberly is working to get her nonprofit organized. She is passionate about educating women and their daughters on fostering better mother/daughter relationships. Her goal is to assist in driving change in the community through building relationships, seeking technical education, attending college, and entrepreneurship.
