Stephanie L. Lee, MA, ELMCA is the Senior Director, Supplier Diversity and Community Outreach for McCarthy Building Companies, one of the oldest privately held national construction company in the country. In this role, she leads the company’s national outreach and capacity building program (McCarthy Partner Development Program). She supports the Southern Region Business Units in creating economic opportunities for diverse business enterprises (small, minority, women, disadvantaged and veteran owned businesses).

Prior to joining McCarthy, Stephanie was the Supplier Diversity Program Analyst with Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA), Department of Diversity and Inclusion. In that role, she oversaw the Small Business Enterprise Program. She ensured the utilization of small and disadvantaged business enterprises on contracting opportunities, community outreach, and supplier development. Stephanie is known for organizing MARTA’s top outreach events such as Pitch Tank and MARTA’s Small Business Week, both of which allowed numerous small businesses to win contracts.

Stephanie was the Strategic Relations Analyst with Atlanta Housing Authority, Department of Contracts and Procurement. In that role, she monitored Davis-Bacon compliance for major multi-million-dollar multi-family development projects, HUD reporting and ensured the utilization of minority, women and Section 3 Business Enterprises on contracting opportunities.

Stephanie started her career as a Contract Compliance Specialist at Memphis Housing Authority where she was responsible for procurement of goods and services and monitored Davis-Bacon compliance for multi-million-dollar HOPE VI single-family and multi-family development projects.

In 2022, Stephanie was the National Association of Minority Contractors Hard Hat Business Development Awardee which recognizes individuals who have been instrumental in creating opportunities for minority businesses. In 2020, she was recognized as a Game Changer in the entrepreneurial field and invited to the White House to speak on creating opportunities through supplier diversity initiatives. In 2019, Stephanie was honored as one of the Top Women in Business & Diversity by PPICW, Inc. and featured in the 19th Edition of Who’s Who in Black Atlanta.

She currently serves on the Board of Directors for National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC) Georgia Chapter and The One Million Dreams Foundation for Black Women & Girls. She is affiliated with the Airport Minority Advisory Council, Georgia Hispanic Construction Association and Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (GMSDC).

Stephanie earned her Master of Art degree in Human Resource Management from Webster University and Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Rust College. Stephanie has received her Certified Compliance Administrator (CCA), Master Compliance Administrator (MCA) and Executive Leadership Master Compliance Administrator (ELMCA) certifications from the American Contract Compliance Association (ACCA).

Stephanie is a member of Word of Faith Love Center and a member of the Atlanta Suburban Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She resides in Atlanta, GA with her husband Andre Lee and their two children, Devon and Raven.
